HRDP-SK Updates
Role Overview: The Patient/Family Advisor(PFA) will sit on a committee that will review potential student intake files for future SCPOR Traineeships. PFA’s will review student applications, provide feedback, and grade application based on SCPOR Patient-Oriented Research Evaluation Tool.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills: No specific knowledge is required. Ability to read the applications and grade applications based on SCPOR Patient-Oriented Research Evaluation Tool. Orientation on tool will be provided.

grade applications based on SCPOR Patient-Orientation Research Evaluation Tool. Orientation on Patient
Orientation Research Level of Engagement Tool will be provided.
SCPOR Program Oversight Committee (SPOC) Mandate
The mandate of the SPOC is to guide, finalize and oversee the SCPOR Program process. SCPOR will at one point have multiple Programs of research at the same time. Each program will have its own designated SPOC.

In addition to accessing existing datasets in the HRDP-SK, research teams can now request to link data from other sources. This process builds significant capacity for research teams to include Saskatchewan data in their projects.
Saskatchewan health researchers are poised to take a leap forward in how they access data, transforming health research in our province. In January, a major milestone was achieved when two research teams were approved to begin conducting analysis through the Health Research Data Platform – Saskatchewan (HRDP-SK) for the first time.
